This will be Spike TV’s first scripted event series in eight years. "Tut" will be shot entirely on location in Morocco this fall and will debut on the network in 2015. The role of King Tutankhamun will be played by Canadian up-and-comer, Avan Jogia. Recently, Spike TV announced that legendary actor Ben Kingsley will star in the key role of Ay, the Grand Vizier to King Tutankhamun, who wields tremendous power and influence as the top advisor to the young Egyptian ruler. Iddo Goldberg plays Lagus, an Egyptian soldier who develops a special bond with King Tutankhamun. Gadiot is best known for his portrayal of Cyrus, the mysterious genie in the ABC’s series, "Once Upon A Time in Wonderland." Gadiot currently plays the recurring character Caesar in the El Rey original series, "Matador." Peter Gadiot plays Ka, King Tutankhamun’s close confidant and seemingly loyal friend from childhood who harbors a secret love for Ankhe, Tut’s wife. Siddig’s impressive resume includes "Da Vinci’s Demons" (Starz) "24" (FOX), "Hannibal" (FOX), "Atlantis" (BBC) and films "The Fifth Estate," "Cairo Time," and "May in the Summer." He is currently on stage at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in the new play "Holy Warriors." In July, HBO announced Siddig has been cast in "Game of Thrones" as Doran Martell for the hit series’ fifth season.
